POVERTY CONCEALS ALL VIRTUES
One blemish gets lost in the midst of many virtues just like the spot of the Moon getting lost in the midst of its rays.
But the great Poet Kalidasa who says as above (Kumara Sambhava 1-3) does not see the fact that one quality of poverty conceals even crores
of virtues of a person.
एको हि दोषो गुणसन्निपाते निमज्जतीन्दोरिति यो बभाषे ।
न तेन दृष्टं कविना समस्तं दारिद्यमेकं गुणकोटिहारि ॥
जय जय श्रीराधे

POVERTY AND PANDITYAM

Poverty and PANdityam do not go hand in hand in most of the cases. There is a SubhAshitam which confirms this.

ParIkshya satkulam vidyA  SIlam Sauryam surUpatAm !
vidhirdadAti nipuNah kanyAmiva daridratAm !!

After testing thoroughly one's good lineage, education, conduct, strength and beauty, destiny gifts a scholar poverty as bride.

Thus we can see the life of great scholars from good family background troubled by poverty all the time.

Let there be LakshmI katAksham all around.
