WHETHER IT IS SANATANA DHARMA OR SANATANA'S DHARMA?

The cosmic order is known as Rtam.By the term " sanatana dharma" , we refer to the vedic dharma as interpreted and practised by Rshis from time immemorial. It is one without any Adi and anta.
" tasmAt dharmam paramam vadanti " - Tai Upa
When we understand the truth " sarvam khalvidam brahma", the entire creation including the cosmic order is of the form of the Supreme.
SrI RAma is the embodiment of dharma
"RAmo vigrahavAn dharmah *.

Though we know that the Supreme has created the canons of dharma,as it is meant for adherence by the people at large voluntarily on their own, it is preferable to call it as sanAtana dharma instead of sanAtanA's dharma.

WHETHER PADACCHEDA CAN BE DONE WHILE INTERPRETING THE VEDA MANTRAS?

While interpreting the Veda Mantra , we have to respect the pada order. We should not do padaccheda in order to give new interpretations.
 Example: Rg Veda Mantra -

अ॒ग्निः पूर्वे॑भि॒र्ऋषि॑भि॒रीड्यो॒ नूत॑नैरु॒त|स दे॒वाँ एह व॑क्षति||1.1.2

The pada order is  agnih + pUrvebhih + Rshibhih ........

This means that the reference is about ancient Rshis like Bhrugu, Angiras and so on.

If you do a padaccheda as follows, it is not acceptable according to tradition.
agnih + pUrve + bhir + Rshi + bhir ........

Hence it is most important for us to tread the proper  path shown by the ancient bhasyakAras by duly respecting the veda mantra  pada pAtha order.

WHY DESIRES EXIST AND HOW DO THEY ORIGINATE?

Desires could arise either due to the accumulated karma vAsanAs or on the basis of the impulses originating afresh from the mind attracted by the indriyas.
As long as there are unfulfilled expectations either in the present or previous births, desires propel one to chase them endlessly.

When the mind is empty, the cravings disappear. The sAdhanA for this is the ashtAnga yoga going upto nirvikalpa samAdhi and so on.

There is another simple and authentic way. If the desires are oriented towards BhagavAn, one can be rest assured that everything will be taken care of by him effortlessly. There should be no other desire except service of the Supreme in prema bhAva. Even if one takes some basic initiative and takes one step forward in this regard, rest would happen by his own boundless grace.
