May auspiciousness be upon Lord Jagannātha,
who is the very embodiment of the Supreme,
Complete Brahman, who resides in the sacred region of Purī,
and who bestows bliss upon the entire universe.

WHY THE SUPREME LORD VISHNU MANIFESTS IN A HUMAN-LIKE FORM EVEN IN HIS DIVINE VAIKUNTHA ?
The Supreme Form of Bhagavān, even in Vaikuṇṭha, is portrayed in the scriptures in a predominantly human-like form, with the fundamental distinction that this form is wholly divine, transcendent, and beyond the limitations of the pañca-bhūtas. Even in manifestations such as Matsya, Kūrma, Varāha, Narasiṃha and Hayagrīva, the distinctive features associated with the fish, tortoise, boar, lion or horse are primarily reflected in the head or face, while the divine form is generally represented with an upright, human-like body.
This itself invites profound contemplation. The human form, fashioned by the Supreme Lord, appears to possess a unique and extraordinary significance. Even Lord Brahma, Lord Siva, the devas and other celestial beings are predominantly conceived in anthropomorphic forms.
Why, then, should the Supreme Being choose to reveal Himself in a human-like form even in His transcendent abode? Is there a deeper metaphysical significance behind this correspondence between the divine form and the human form? This is not merely a question of iconography; it is a subject worthy of deep reflection, meditation, and spiritual inquiry. Perhaps the mystery of the human form itself deserves to be contemplated as one of the profound expressions of the divine order.
ममैवांशो जीवलोके जीवभूतः सनातनः ।
मनःषष्ठानीन्द्रियाणि प्रकृतिस्थानि कर्षति ॥
-- Srimad Bhagavad Gita 15-7
