VEDIC FRAMEWORK FOR OPEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DESIGN

VEDIC FRAMEWORK FOR OPEN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DESIGN
The Open Artificial Intelligence (Open AI) could be built on the Vedic framework which has two fundamental dimensions in terms of Satyam and Dharma.
The Taittiriya Upanishad inspires one to speak the truth and follow the path of righteousness.
सत्य॒व्वँद । धर्म॒ञ्चर ।
The following Sloka from Mahabharata highlights that the ultimate truth is one which benefits and ensures the welfare of all the beings.
सत्यस्य वचनं श्रेयः सत्यं ज्ञानं हितं भवेत् ।
यद्भूतहितमत्यन्तं तद्वै सत्यं परं मतम् ॥
From Satyam, the key qualities of Truth, Transparency, Governance and Openness emerge.
Dharma is embedded with the essential qualities of Righteousness, Self-discipline, Social well-being, Sacrifice, Impartiality,Rights,Duty and Responsibility.
Thus the twin Vedic Concepts of Satyam and dharma should be the core foundation for any Open AI design.

WELCOME BHARATAM (भारतम् स्वागतम्) --- THE VEDIC ORIGIN OF THE WORD “BHARATA“ (भारत)

The word “Bharata” (भारत) and its derivatives not only appear in a host of Puranas, Itihasas and ancient classical literature but also in the Rig Veda and other Vedas in many places. Some examples are given below:-
य इ॒मे रोद॑सी उ॒भे अ॒हमिन्द्र॒मतु॑ष्टवम् ।

VEDIC CANON REGARDING DAKSHINA WHILE CONDUCTING DOMESTIC VEDIC RITUALS

While giving Dakshina to the Brihaspati, one has to accept whatever is given as dakshina without demanding. At the same time, the person who conducts the Vedic ritual should necessarily honor the Brihaspati based on his financial background. The same rule may be applied for those participating in the Sraddha (श्राद्ध) . We may infer that the principle of the financial capability of the Yajamana (यजमान) in terms of “यथा शक्ति “ applies in all such situations.
To substantiate this we may refer to Taittiriyaranyakam 1-132 which deals with the subject matter of giving Guru Dakshina to the Guru who has taught the Vedas in the Forest with the following four options :-
dhenu: dakshiNA --- Cow as Dakshina
kamsam vAsa: ca kshaumam --- Bronze Vessel with White Silk Vastram
anyat vA Suklam --- White cotton Vastram
yathA Sakti vA --- Whatever one can afford to give based on his capacity
Thus the first option is to give a cow as Guru Dakshina.
If this is not possible as a second option he may give Bronze Vessel with White Silk Vastram as Guru Dakshina.
If this is not possible as a third option he may give a white cotton Vastram as Guru Dakshina.
If this is also not possible as the forth and final option he may give whatever he can based on his capability as Guru dakshina.

WHETHER VEDA MANTRAS CAN BE SET TO MUSIC AND SUNG?

Vedic Mantra Chanting has to be done orally only by competent persons who have undergone the studies from the Vedacharyas. According to tradition, the Veda mantras have to be duly chanted in line with the Varna and Svara . Thus Akshara suddhi (proper pronunciation of letters), Svara suddhi (proper usage of Svaras) along with proper Matra (metrical unit of time) are required. The Vedic heritage has to be duly protected and nourished. Improper rendition of the Veda Mantras reduces the life span and leads to diesease. Hence it is important to preserve the integrity and authenticity of the Veda Mantras passed on from the ancient great Rishis.

ओं शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति:

O Gods! Let us hear auspicious words through our ears.

Let us see auspicious things through our eyes in the sacrifices.
Let us enjoy a life that is beneficial to Gods.
Let us praise the Gods with bodies having strong limbs.
Let Indra of ancient fame be propitious to us.
May the all-knowing Pusha be auspicious to us.
Let Garuda, who destroys evils, be favorably disposed towards us.

Let Brhaspati grant us welfare.

This Shanti (Peace) invocation appears in the Mundaka, Mandukya and Prasna Upanishads. This Peace Chant ends with the prayer for protection from the Tapatrayas (Threefold miseries) in terms of  Adhyatmika (Body, Mind), Adhi Bhautika (Animals, other living Beings) and Adhi Daivika (Natural calamities like Earthquake, Flood, Tsunami, etc.).
