The following Mantra to be chanted while tieing the new Saradu (sacred thread decorated on the deity) in the right hand after duly completing the Varalakshmi vrata pUjA :
nava tantu samAyuktam navagranthi samanvitam !
badhnIyAm dakshiNe haste dorakam harivallabhe !!
